Free disposable email checker
Disposable email checker: is this a temporary inbox?
Enter an address to find out whether it's a disposable (temporary or throwaway) email from services like Mailinator, 10 Minute Mail, Guerrilla Mail or YOPmail. The domain, its parent domains and its mail servers are compared with a community list of nearly 10,000 disposable domains, and you get the usual checks too: typos, domain, mail servers and role addresses.

How to check if an email is disposable
- 1
Paste the address
Type or paste the email address into the box and press Check.
- 2
Look at the type
A disposable address is marked Risky and its type reads “Disposable”. Advanced details list the disposable check next to the domain, MX and role checks.
- 3
Check a whole list
Switch to Bulk to check up to 50 sign-ups at once, filter to Risky, and export a CSV with a Disposable column.
How the disposable check works
The domain itself
The domain is looked up in the community disposable-email-domains list, which has nearly 10,000 known temporary-mail domains.
Parent domains
Subdomains are caught too: an address at anything.mailinator.com matches because mailinator.com is on the list.
Mail servers
Many throwaway services park new domains on the same mail servers. If a domain's MX records point at a known disposable service, it's flagged even when the domain itself is new.
Why check for disposable emails
Fake sign-ups
Temporary inboxes are a common way to create throwaway accounts that never come back.
Free-trial and coupon abuse
One person, many disposable addresses, many “first order” discounts or trials.
Cleaner mailing lists
Disposable inboxes stop working after minutes or days, so mail sent later bounces and hurts your sender reputation.
What it doesn't treat as disposable
Free webmail like Gmail, Outlook or Yahoo is a free provider, not a disposable one, and is labelled that way. Privacy relays such as addy.io forward to a real inbox, so they're shown as forwarded rather than disposable. Brand-new throwaway domains that aren't on the list yet and don't share a known mail server can slip through, as they can with any list-based checker.
